In December, photographer Dougal MacArthur held a show of photographs at a barn close to the area in Sussex where he made the work. We're very excited to share five of those photographs here.
From Dougal:
"'The Worm Forgives The Plough’ is the title I have borrowed from John Stewart Collis - who in turn had borrowed from William Blake - for my show of 12 photographs from an on-going project that started over lockdown. The work is an attempt to understand the naturally occurring cyclical nature of life, and the necessity of death of things and ideas in order for the world to progress. These ideas have been shown through images made on and around the farmland of East Sussex as the seasons turned during the pandemic. "
